Chunky Colorful Knit Cowl

I finished knitting and blocking a chunky colorful knit cowl two days ago... I usually don't pick such bright, bold colors to wear for myself, but I decided I needed a pop of color as Spring is nearly upon us here in North America.

This is the third chunky colorful knit cowl I've knitted from a free pattern I picked up at Michaels. The first two cowls that I knitted I gave away as gifts to each of my grandmothers in 2015 for Christmas. Both of my grandmothers loved the cowl I made for them, so thought I would finally make one for myself.

Instead of using two skeins of Red Heart's Super Saver Yarn as the pattern calls for, I chose to use two skeins of Craft Smart Yarn's Ombre Yarn in the Sangria colorway to knit the cowl I made for myself. I love the bright, bold color of the Sangria colorway.... Which is sort of surprising as I normally don't wear a lot of red in my wardrobe... However, I may choose to use the Craft Smart Ombre Yarn in the Sangria Colorway in the future.

Craft Smart Ombre Yarn is a worsted weight yarn and 100% acrylic. This yarn comes in many lovely colors. Craft Smart Yarn also comes in solid colors as well.

As far as the feel of the Craft Smart Ombre Yarn goes, it could feel a bit softer in my opinion. It's isn't exactly rough or scratchy, it does feel soft for the most part. However, it feels a tad stiffer than I would like it to feel.

So what have finished knitting or crocheting lately?? Are you working on any new projects??
